Yashima Trails
(Henro Michi - Pilgrimage Road)Beginner
A historic pilgrimage road walked by Kobo Daishi
A route with cobbled paths and stairways that even beginners can enjoy.
This is the most popular trail in Yashima, which has been used frequently by pilgrims for a thousand years. Along this trail are places that are connected to Kobo Daishi, such as Kajisui and Kuwazu-no Nashi. Near the summit, you will see odd-shaped rocks, formed as a result of the horizontal development of sanukite andesite, and a place that commands a panoramic view of Takamatsu's city center. Cobblestones, stairways, and other improvements ease your way to the top, ensuring a wonderful experience.
